Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), has announced that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is the first member association (MA) in Africa to implement the FIFA TMS Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS), reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The adoption of the system by the NFF according to world soccer ruling body, was facilitated by the League Management Company who are the custodians of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The DTMS online platform, which includes league access, will allow the NFF and the NPFL to manage its international and domestic transfers via one system.
It is available on the International Transfer Matching System (ITMS), which all FIFA 211 association members can access.
It is also available to 6,500 clubs around the world for cross-border transfer of players.
The system will afford the NFF and clubs in the NPFL the opportunity to manage national and international transfers on a single platform, generate transfer activity reports and have greater monitoring levels to enhance transparency and goverance.
It is expected that more members from the Confederation of African Football will follow the footsteps of the NFF by implementing the DTMS this year.
FIFA developed the DTMS system in response to demand from its members and clubs for a domestic transfer system based on ITMS.
